Dr. Anthony Marquinez has been involved in in-patient and out-patient neurology practice for more than two decades. After completing his neurology residency in 1997, at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he underwent an additional year of fellowship training in Neuromuscular disease, Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Study. Additionally, he underwent a second year of fellowship training in Motor Control Physiology and movement disorders, with a special focus on tremor and Parkinsons disease therapy.

Dr. Marquinez joined Hackensack Neurology Group in 2001 and he has been in practice with the group since then.

He has extensive clinical experience in diagnosing and managing neuropathy, myopathy, radiculopathy, headaches, seizure disorders, Parkinson’s disease, tremors, dystonia and other movement disorders. He has clinical proficiency in performing Electromyography and Nerve conduction Study for various nerve and muscle diseases.

Although Dr. Marquinez was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, he is fluent in English. He is also fluent in Tagalog and partially fluent in Spanish.

His top priority is to spend adequate time with the patient in order to obtain a detailed medical history and to provide empathetic communication as he focuses on how best to help each patient. His philosophy is that good bedside manners always matter.
