Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Sodagum completed both her residency and fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In 2005 she joined the medical staff of Newton Memorial Hospital and Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Dr. Sodagum specializes in treating the full spectrum of kidney (renal) disorders such as acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, hypertension, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, and post-transplant medicine. She is experienced in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis and is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, high-quality care to her patients. In 2004, she was a contributor to a published article on activated IGF-1R and hyperglycemia-induced DNA damage. Dr. Sodagum also published an abstract on the renal effects of Celebrex, a phase II trial for hormone resistant prostate cancer, and was actively involved in a study related to hypertensive type 2 diabetic patients with overt nephropathy.

Professional Memberships / Offices Held: Dr. Sodagum is the Director of the Hackettstown Dialysis Center and Co-Director of the Newton Dialysis Center. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Medical Association.
