Nigam Patel, MD

Dr. Nigam Patel, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist committed to delivering patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based care. He believes in treating the whole person rather than just a diagnosis, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported. Dr. Patel completed his Rheumatology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his Internal Medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital. Having trained in New York, he has gained expertise in managing complex medical conditions across various racial and ethnic backgrounds. He has received multiple honours, including Resident of the Year during his Internal Medicine training, and received the Outstanding Graduate Award in medical school. He has presented research at national and international conferences, with publications spanning autoimmune disease, cardiovascular risk in rheumatology, and systemic inflammatory conditions. Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
